Description
The Knoxville Open Presented by Food Cityis one of the four original events of the Nationwide Tour. Since itsinception in 1990, the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley(BGCTNV) have been the benefiting charity, receiving more than$1,000,000 from the event. The tournament, now being operated by KnoxArea Golf Charities, will continue to support Knoxville area charities.
The tournament has had three homes over the past 19 years, including Willow Creek GC (1990-94), Three Ridges GC (1995-98), and Fox Den Country Club (1999-present).

Description
The 18-hole "Fox Den" course at the Fox Den Country Club facility in Knoxville, Tennessee features 7,118 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 74.2 and it has a slope rating of 132 on Bermuda grass. Designed by Willard C. Byrd, ASGCA/(R)Bill Bergin, the Fox Den golf course opened in 2004. Dave Largent manages the course as the Regional Vice President.
